A Delaware judge ordered Faith Evans to pay $12.5 million to a trust created for her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G. The court found that Evans' company improperly held back profits owed to the trust after the death of Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, in 2025.

The legal fight began following Wallace's death. Evans' firm continued to manage finances tied to the estate. The judge ruled that specific earnings belonged to the trust Wallace established. This decision forces the return of funds that were previously retained by Evans' business entity.

The ruling arrives amid a separate dispute involving Biggie's son, Christopher Jordan Wallace. Known as CJ Wallace, he is challenging the authority of Wayne Barrow. Barrow, who managed Biggie's career, is accused of making last-minute changes to Wallace's estate documents. This secondary lawsuit adds another layer to the ongoing financial disagreements within the family.

These conflicts occur against a backdrop of high-value music rights transactions. Biggie's catalog recently secured a $100 million deal. This valuation has increased the financial stakes for all parties involved in the estate's administration. The recent court order directly impacts the distribution of profits generated from these assets.

The case is set to continue in Delaware courts. Future hearings will address the implementation of the $12.5 million payout. The outcome will determine the final split of revenue between Evans' company and the Wallace trust.
