Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 103-87 on Wednesday in Inglewood, California.

Quentin Grimes scored 23 points for the Lakers, while backup guard Collin Sexton added 21 points, his season high. Austin Reaves finished with 16 points and Matisse Thybulle contributed 15, with both players making four three-pointers each. Six Lakers players recorded double-digit scores.

Star guard Luka Doncic sat out due to back stiffness. Head coach JJ Redick stated that the decision to rest Doncic was precautionary. The Lakers played this game one day after their previous contest, marking the first time in this season they faced opponents on consecutive days.

Forward Ziaire Williams also missed the game owing to left foot pain. Without Doncic, who averages 36 points per game, the Lakers relied on a balanced offensive effort to secure the win. This victory marked their second win against the Clippers in one week.

The Clippers, now 1-3, suffered their third consecutive loss. Rookie Keaton Wagler led their scoring with 21 points, his career high. Rui Hachimura did not play due to stiffness in his left quadriceps. The Clippers had lost to the Lakers by eight points on Friday.
