Eighty thousand, two hundred and ten people packed NRG Stadium in Houston on October 31, 2026, to watch Kanye West, who now performs as Ye, take the stage. The crowd size broke the previous United States record for a rap concert by more than 6,000 attendees.
The new figure surpasses the approximately 74,000 fans who attended Ye’s earlier performance at SoFi Stadium earlier this year. This milestone establishes a new benchmark for stadium-scale hip-hop shows in the country.
The show featured two surprise guests who added personal and collaborative elements to the evening. Playboi Carti joined Ye onstage to perform tracks including “Carnival,” “Off the Grid,” and “FE!N.” Later, Ye’s daughter, North West, appeared to perform alongside her father, creating a focal point for fans watching the live broadcast or present in the arena.
The production design centered on a stage structure resembling the Earth, accompanied by large visual screens, laser displays, and pyrotechnics. The setlist covered the full range of Ye’s career, moving from early hits to recent material. Songs such as “Stronger,” “Gold Digger,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” and “Runaway” were included, ensuring the performance appealed to fans from different eras of his discography.
Anticipation for additional appearances was high before the show began. Both Drake and Travis Scott were in Houston that evening. The two were spotted at a Houston Rockets basketball game, which fueled speculation that either or both might join Ye on the main stage. Neither artist performed during the concert.
Fans attending the Halloween event wore costumes, contributing to a theatrical atmosphere throughout the venue. The combination of the record crowd, the multi-decade setlist, and the guest appearances defined the night’s scale.
