Hopdoddy Burger Bar plans to open its eleventh restaurant in the Houston metropolitan area. The new location will be situated at 24646 Katy Fwy within The Centre at Parkwest, a retail development currently under construction along the freeway.

A permit filed Friday with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation outlines the project details. The restaurant will occupy a 3,480-square-foot interior space, complemented by a 345-square-foot patio. The estimated cost for the build-out is approximately $800,000. Work is scheduled to commence in December and conclude by May 2027.

The chain was founded in 2010 by four friends along South Congress Avenue in Austin. Their initial goal was to redefine the burger bar experience using smashburgers, fried chicken, and alcoholic beverages. Since its inception, the brand has grown to 50 locations nationwide, with more than 30 situated in Texas. The company is now owned by Founders Table Restaurant Group.

This Katy location is part of a wider expansion strategy in the region. Hopdoddy filed a separate permit two weeks ago for a new restaurant in Schertz. Construction on that site is expected to start in November and finish in April 2027. The addition of these two sites continues the chain's presence in the Greater Houston market and Central Texas.
