Rain chances stand at 50% for the Dallas Fort Worth area Thursday night as multiple bands of precipitation move through the region. This probability follows a milder and more humid start to the day, with clouds accumulating and the first showers arriving by late afternoon Thursday.

Early Friday morning may feature wet roadways or light showers, but the weather pattern shifts by midday. The First Alert Weather Team reports that rounds of precipitation are likely to break up by early Friday afternoon. A second wave of rain will then move in during the late afternoon, persisting overnight into the Halloween weekend.

Halloween itself will not be a complete washout. Showers are expected during the first half of the day and into the early afternoon. The team projects that a few lingering showers might extend into the early evening, though the steadiest rain will likely exit by that time. By late evening, the chance of isolated showers drops to 20%.

Drier conditions arrive on Sunday, with highs climbing back to the 80-degree mark. Temperatures remain in the 80s through Monday before the next system arrives. Forecasters are currently monitoring the period from Monday night into Tuesday for a strong cold front.

This front is expected to bring a line of strong to severe storms. While timing may still shift and impacts remain difficult to predict, the team flags this period for attention. By the middle of next week, the weather will turn noticeably cooler, with daytime highs falling into the lower 70s.
