Bishop Amat and La Serna enter the CIF-Southern Section playoffs as the top two ranked teams in the San Gabriel Valley. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star-News, and Whittier Daily News published their final regular-season Top 30 list on Saturday, November 1. These rankings determine seedings for the upcoming postseason matches.

Bishop Amat, which finished the regular season with an 8-2 record, remains at No. 1. They will play Oxnard Pacifica, also 8-2, in the Division 2 playoffs. The game is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. La Serna, a 9-1 team, holds the No. 2 spot. They face Valencia of Valencia, an 8-2 squad, at California High School on Friday at 7 p.m. in Division 3 action.

Bonita, the only undefeated team in the top 10, sits at No. 3 with a 10-0 record. They will travel to Great Oak, an 8-2 team, for their Division 3 game on Friday. Baldwin Park (9-1) and Charter Oak (9-1) round out the top five, ranked No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Both teams are set to play on Friday at 7 p.m.

Several teams moved in the rankings compared to the previous week. Los Altos (9-1) jumped one spot to No. 6. San Dimas (8-2) climbed three places to reach No. 10. Conversely, Rio Hondo Prep (7-3) dropped one spot to No. 9, while El Rancho (8-2) moved up one to No. 8. The list includes teams from various divisions, all preparing for their first playoff games this Friday.

The full top 30 list includes Glendora at No. 11 and St. Francis at No. 12. Nogales, who went 10-0, is ranked No. 15. The bottom of the list features Wilson at No. 30 with a 5-5 record. All 30 teams on the list have their first round opponents and game times scheduled for Friday evening.
