The City of Hattiesburg designated the main stage at the Mannoni Performing Arts Center as the Thomas V. Fraschillo Stage. The announcement appears in the city’s community calendar materials dated November 2, 2026. The venue remains a central location for cultural events in the Hub City.
The Mannoni Performing Arts Center hosts a variety of performances and gatherings. The city encourages residents to explore its community calendar for upcoming activities. Events listed on the calendar must take place within city limits and provide a point of contact for more information.
Local organizers can submit events for review through a digital form. The city staff approves or denies listings within 24 to 48 hours. If an event is not approved, the listed contact person receives a notification. Photos are helpful for submissions but are not mandatory.
The city retains the right to edit submitted content before final publication. Listing an event on the calendar does not automatically grant it city-sanctioned or city-sponsored status. Those designations require separate approval by the City Council. City-sanctioned and city-sponsored events are also included in the calendar.
Posting an event is distinct from applying for a permit to use city property, streets, or traffic support. Organizers requiring these resources must submit a permit application to the Hattiesburg Police Department. Applications are available for download from the city’s website.
The renaming reflects the city’s ongoing effort to support local arts and culture. The Thomas V. Fraschillo Stage will serve as the primary performance area at the Mannoni Performing Arts Center. Residents can view the updated calendar to plan their visits to the venue.
