Two masked men opened fire inside a Jackson nightclub on Saturday night, killing two patrons and injuring six others. The shooting took place at the Hideaway, located in the 5100 block of I-55 North Frontage Road, according to the Jackson Police Department. Deputy Chief Sequerna Banks confirmed the details as officers processed the scene.
Authorities identified the two victims who died at the scene as Lovdia Poindexter, 20, and Jada Henderson, 18. Six additional people were transported to local hospitals with injuries that officials described as non-life-threatening. The department is now securing surveillance footage from the area to identify the suspects.
