Professional sports fans in North America had five leagues to choose from on Monday night, October 26, 2026. Sportradar data confirms this was the 33rd time such a scheduling collision occurred, and the first since October 27, 2025. It marked only the fourth instance where the WNBA was included in the overlap.

The Milwaukee Brewers dominated the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 of the World Series. After winning the first two games by one-run margins, the Brewers scored eight runs with two outs in the fifth inning. They secured a 10-1 victory, with Brandon Woodruff pitching the final outs. This win puts Milwaukee one game away from its first championship in nearly 60 years. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday night.

In the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 during Monday Night Football on ESPN. Both teams entered the matchup with 2-4 records. Quarterback Jalen Hurts sat out on injured reserve due to blood clots. Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes, and running back Javonte Williams rushed for 155 yards to lead the Cowboys' victory.

NBA action featured two notable matchups. Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving returned to the Dallas Mavericks roster for a 7:30 p.m. start at the Miami Heat. Flagg recorded 29 points and 11 assists as the Mavericks improved to 1-0, ending the Heat's season with a 0-4 start. Later at 10 p.m., the Golden State Warriors faced the Denver Nuggets on NBCSN and Peacock.

The WNBA held its first simultaneous broadcast with the other four leagues since September 2000. The Golden State Valkyries hosted the Atlanta Dream in Game 5 of the Finals at 8 p.m. on USA Network, CNBC, and Peacock. The Valkyries won 64-55 to take a 3-2 series lead. This puts them one win from their first title in the franchise's second season. Game 6 will be played in Atlanta on Thursday.

NHL games also filled the schedule. The Los Angeles Kings defeated the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden, starting at 7 p.m. on NHL Network. In another game, the Calgary Flames defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 on ESPN+. Captain Auston Matthews reached 800 career points in 703 games, becoming the second-fastest U.S.-born player to achieve that milestone.
